From Debbie and George to the Brennans
Paradise Poochie was previously owned by Debbie and George, who provided St. Augustine customers with quality nutritional food and pet supplies for their four-legged family members for many years.
In May of 2021, Debbie was ready to retire after many years in retail — and the Brennan family, from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, were ready to continue that tradition. Tommy Brennan, his wife Maria, and their children made the move to St. Augustine.
Tommy came to it after a career as a restaurant owner, a pet food and products sales manager, a dog lover, a breeder of Golden Retrievers and a show handler. He became fond of a Golden Retriever puppy more than 35 years ago, which sparked his interest in showing dogs, in diet and nutrition, and finally in working in the pet industry itself.
Over the years he built relationships with some of the biggest pet brands known today — including Natura Pet Products (EVO, California Natural, INNOVA and Karma), the foundation of many pet foods out there today.

Our own promise is an “educated, passionate, dedicated and pet-loving team of associates.” In practice that means someone who will talk through what your dog or cat is eating now — and, as one customer put it, who “offers to carry the big bag of food out to my car every time I come in.”
